What you can expect from this in-depth course that covers real life experiences and critical tips that can help guide you towards success and healthy expectations for your journey ahead. Additionally, we have created a work book that helps you formulate a personal plan particular to your family and individual preferences as well as needs. This track is designed to equip you for the unexpected, prepare you for what is to come, and to give you an in depth look into what potentially could be ahead.

Module 1:
The Path To Becoming Approved

This will be a deep dive helping set proper expectations for the approval process with your private CPA or the state.

Module 2:
Allegations Happen: Things To Consider

Hear from real life experiences as foster parents having to deal with the unexpected. We will show you what we learned, what things to think about now in order to prepare for what potentially could come. 

Module 3:
A Visual Pathway Of What To Expect

We lay out a map on what to expect from start to finish. Knowing what to expect visually can prepare our mindset on what we can expect. Knowing the difficulties during the journey helped us go the distance. 

Module 4: Documentation. How To Do It And Why It's Crucial To The Process

We explore what to document, when to document it, and how to back it up. This is the foundation of each child's case. Plus, we share an important tip on how to protect yourself.

Module 5:
The Juvenile Court Process

This is what every new foster parent wants to know, We explain the judges role and all the unique roles involved in the case. We also explore what you can expect when you go to court and your involvement.

Module 6:
The Birth Family

We will discuss things to consider in regards to your interactions with the birth parents and relatives. You will learn about ways you can positively engage with them, why that is important, and how to better navigate through it and so much more...

Module 7:
Let's Talk About Supervised Visitation

We started and ran a supervised visitation center, for a decade so we are able to share a rare and comprehensive perspective most don't have.We also prepare you for your role and how to navigate in order to expand your thinking before you get involved.

 

Module 8:
How To Handle When A Child Makes A Disclosure

We show you visually what to do when disclosures happen, how to respond to them properly, and what you can do now to prepare for different scenarios. Having been through this personally, we are able to share real life experience with you.

 

Module 9:
When Times Get Tough

We answer the question of what to do when you want to quit. We share our personal hardship experiences with you and what we did to push through when we thought there was not a way to keep going. So many quit too soon and we want you to hear this before you consider walking away.

Module 10:
LifeBooks: Why, What, How

A crucial piece to the puzzle, something that will piece the time together for the child/children in your care. We map out a plan describing some ways you can accomplish this positive activity for the benefit of the child/children and their family. 

Module 11:
This is the End

What to consider now for the potential things that may happen in the future as the case wraps up. We discuss what a "termination of parental rights" hearing looks like, what it's purpose is, and what negative and positive effects that may have on everyone involved.
